I've been reading in Psalm 18 lately & 2 verses have pretty much jumped off the page EVERY TIME I open the Bible.  Think maybe it is meant for me to study those verses alittle more intently???  I'm thinking yes!!!  So last night I wrote them down on index cards & they are IN MY FACE ALL DAY TODAY!!!

"It is God that girdeth me with strength & maketh my way perfect" Psalm 18:32

"The Lord is my rock, and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my strength in whom I will trust, my buckler and the horn of my salvation and my high tower." Psalm 18:2

Do you know what buckler means?  It's a shield.  He's my shield.  My protector. 

Apparently lately I have let that slip from my brain.  So this week it's getting engraved in it!!!!

Wanna see what happens when Mom is emptying out a Scentsy order & working hard on getting it all put up and Dad is supposed to be watching Hoss..........

Please don't think only kids like to play with boxes!!!  Dogs LOVE them too!!!!!  FYI........I saved the white box from destruction only because it still had stuff in it!!!  Hoss told me he wants to destory it this weekend!!!!!

Spaghetti Chicken Casserole

So really I PROMISE you this is something you GOTTA try!!!  And it's very very easy!!!  I'm going to make a few up for freezer meals this weekend!!!!

Here is what I did......

Boiled 5 chicken breasts (4 for the casserole & 1 for Hosser), cut them into medium bite size pieces.  In the same water I boiled for about 5 mins a box of whole wheat spaghetti.  Drained & cooled it.
Then in a big bowl mixed the chicken, spaghetti noodles, 1 chopped onion, 2 cans of cream of chicken soup, some garlic powder & seasoning salt, 2 cups of cheddar cheese & probably 1 1/2 cans of water.
Put all that in the casserole dish (that I lined with foil...cuz it saves me time washing dishes), sprinkled more cheddar cheese on top & baked @ 350 for about 30 mins.

Served it with some green beans & we were done.  There was enough for us both to have lunch today (which is the picture above) & snack before we go to church tonight!!!

Flirted

Yep you heard right!!!  I flirted this morning with the lady with horns.  Her horns weren't showing to bad this morning, she tried to be sweet & suck me in.  I told DH that she had her wings on today......but don't worry they couldn't cover up the horns all the way!!!!! LOL!!!!

Does anyone else have someone like that in their lives?   Someone that can just push every single button you have just by saying 4 words???  Someone that you have to deal with not on a daily basis but atleast on a weekly or monthly basis?  Or am I the only one that has this??  How do you do it?

I'll let ya in on a little secret..........speaker phone & a cup of peppermint mocha coffee while in the car on the way to work worked for me this morning.  Maybe it was because it was raining & I had to think about the other vehicles on the road that I didn't let things get to me to bad!!!  Who knows but it worked!!!!!  I'm surely there will be more opportunities for me to do research in the future!!!!

On a happier note.....Hoss got to go to the ball park last night & watch Bailey play softball.  PLUS got to see Miss. Hannah Montana again & got to play with the uncle.  He likes it when he can see his friends.  He even got to see Brooke......and knew her by name......he's just smart like that!!!!

Lots of Green

There is lots of green here in Hoss's World.  We've got banana peppers growing.

And hostas are EVERYWHERE.  Their at the front of the house & on the side of house.

AND my tomoto plants that I started from seed are growing growing growing!!!

Thankyou Lord for the rain that you have blessed us with!!  And the Vitamin D that my plants seem to also LOVE!!!

Rough night

Yep it was a rough night here in Hoss's World the other night!!!!  I came out of the bedroom from folding clothes & Hoss had knocked the pillow off of the couch & was laying on the floor with it!!!!  He has such a rough rough life!!! LOL!!!!

Today he got an ice cream cone from McDonalds cuz Daddy was sweet to us on our walk.  We meet him in the middle of town & he had stopped & gotten us an ice cream cone.  I got to eat alittle of the ice cream & Mr. Hog up there ate the rest of it AND the ice cream cone!!!!!  PLUS he got to go by his uncles house tonight & play ball.  He played with the kids that were there....and even though one of them is scared of him, he did have fun.  He likes it when his uncle chases him & tries to get the ball back from him. 

He is soooo spoiled!!!!  Not just by mommy & daddy but his uncles & aunts & cousins spoil him too!!!!! LOL!!!

Weigh in....

Well my scale didn't like me again.  It said I've gained a pound.  So we have a new game plan!!!!!

****Hosser & I will be jogging NOT walking every nite!!!!  He won't be a very happy camper but it's what has to be done.

****I've also slacked bad & haven't been as good on my salads......so more salads will be added to the dinner menu.

****Today for lunch I just brought 2 hotdogs.....no buns....just the dogs.  That bread thing lately has been killing me.  It's what happens when I wig out over little things.  Does anyone else do that??? 
So breads will be cut down to a minimum.  More veggies, fruits & meats.  You really don't need a ton of starches....but man do they ever taste sooooo good!!!!

****Also on my wish list I am putting 2 extra Soda Stream bottles.  I made one of the Diet Energy drink this morning & it's ALMOST all gone.  So I won't have one for this afternoon!!!  Yep need to invest in some extra bottles forsure!!!

I've got 3 months to get down below my goal weight!!!!  Seriously it shouldn't be that hard to loose 30 pounds!!! 

There are 4 weeks in a month....that's 12 weeks.....THAT'S ONLY 2.5 POUNDS A WEEK I NEED TO LOOSE!!!!  Hello I can do that!!! 

Smart

Bragging time.......I told ya that my nephew was way smart!!!!  Wrote his name all by himself!!!!  For a second time cuz once was in the dirt cuz his goofy aunt forgot she had chalk until after he was finished & had to be bribed to write his name again.  But never the less.....he did it & is a brillant child!!!!

New Wallet

Ummmmmm I might have changed wallets this morning while driving down a busy interstate!!!  It's all my friend Beth's fault cuz I got this awesome wallet from Thirty-One from her this morning!!!!  I was gonna change it around at lunch but I just couldn't wait till then!!!!

But shhhhhhh don't tell DH that I changed wallets while driving down the interstate.....he'll have a heart attack!!!!!

Mothers Day 2011

We had a great day yesterday @ church.  We celebrated all the mothers.  There are more in this picture over to the right I just had a couple cute little girls sitting with me that we taking pictures. 

I called my mom yesterday morning.  I'm not gonna bore you with the details of that wonderful conversation.  Just know I'm thankful for my little corner of paradise that the Lord has blessed me with. 

Hoss was sweet enough to have to go on a LONG walk.  My present from him I guess.  Ohhhh and one of my nephews & his sweet wife came over to see us with their very very cute son!!!  Who by the way is very smart.....he can write his name perfectly!!!!!  Such a smart 3 year old!!!!  I'll have to get a picture of his name on my driveway!!!! LOL!!!

Other than that it was probably a pretty normal Sunday for us.  Chillaxin & be thankful to the Lord for a great week & getting ready for a wonderful week ahead.

Chocolate Strawberries

We got some yummy yummy strawberries from the Strawberry Man the other day!!   We've eaten our fill of strawberry shortcake so I made some Chocolate dipped Strawberries. 

I didn't have any chocolate chips just white chocolate ones......but they are just as good!!!!!

Storm Damage

Just wanted to share some of the pictures of the storm damage from the other night!!

I THINK  a small tornado came thru.  It's not been proven but the damage pattern sure does look like it.  And right before it hit the sky was a scary greenish grey!!!  Really really freaky!!!

Hoss decided that the workers that were doing the clean up on this tree were fun to watch.  He wanted to go investigate what all they were up to but I wouldn't let him......Mean Mom!!!

Super thankful that all that happened at our house was a wood pile got blowed over!!!  Which means more work for me this weekend!!!! But it could have been way worse so we are definately blessed!!!!

Easy Breakfast

So the other day I was online & found a really really easy breakfast!!!!  So I made a bunch up & in the freezer they went!!!!!  And can I say this is the sweetest thing I've done in a long long time!!!!

All I did was fry up a pound of sausage with an onion.  Drained the grease and then added that mixture to 2 5 oz jars of sharp cheese spread & a teaspoon of butter. 

Placed that mixture on split english muffins, cooked them about 10-15 mins @ 350. 

Let them cool, put them in the freezer then when frozen wrapped them in foil.  And I was done.

Then in the morning when we get up for breakfast I take 2 out & put them in the microwave for 45 seconds to a minute & I'm done.  Breakfast served!!!!

Ohhhhh on a side note...Hosser & I walked almost 3 miles tonight after an AWFUL storm came thru.  He is alittle tired and me....I'm VERY tired!!!  But tomorrow is a weigh in day so let's hope the little scale talks sweet to me!!!!!

I'm sore.....

Hosser & I had a busy busy day yesterday!!!! 

One of my favorite nephews (they are all my favorite!!!! LOL) had LOTS of wood delivered to the house for us!!!  The DH & Hosser cut the logs & busted the 2 stacks up front thru out the week.....so guess what that meant me & Hosser got to do!!!???

We moved one HUGE stack of old wood and then stacked all the new wood in that spot.  My lower back and arms are really really really sore!!!  I'm very thankful to my favorite nephew for bringing the load of wood to us!!!  And very thankful to the Lord for providing us the wood!!! We'll be LOVING the wood come winter time when it's 20degrees outside and me & Hosser aren't moving from under the covers or off the couch and chair cuz it's to cold outside!!!
