Adventure

Hoss went on his first Saturday adventure with mommy today!!!!!!!  And he had a BLAST!!!!!!!  Daddy took off to work & we headed west!!!!

First we made a trip to the Biltmore House.  The poor guys at the gate that checked us in said they heard Hoss barking ALL THE WAY up the road.  Ya think he was a little excited???  And honestly I won't be able to hear for ohhhh about another 10 days from all the barking!!!!

We walked one of the trails.....let me rephrase that I walked the trail.....Hoss he RAN the trail!!!!!!

And saw lots of pretty flowers.....and chased a few geese!!!!!!

I heard the other day on the radio that for as many days of foggy mornings we have.....we will have that many days of snow come winter time!!!!  IF it's true......we are in trouble again come winter time!!!!

Then our adventure took us to the craft store to get stuff to finish up my TEXAS LONGHORNS wreath!!!!!

I LOVE AC MOORE!!!!!  Hoss I'm not to sure about him......he had to stay in the car while I ran in & got a few things!!!!!!!!  He did tell me he was very happy when I got back in the car.....cuz I let him get out of his seatbelt and hang out in the front seat with me & soak up some AC!!!!

And I'm thinking that this little adventure pretty much wore someone out......

Adventure

Hoss & I are headed out on an adventure tomorrow morning!!!!!!  Wish us luck!!!  And if you don't see a report on the fun we had...........PLEASE don't worry......we are probably hiding in the woods somewhere so the laundry monster, bill monster, grocery store demon, dust bunnies & village crazys can't find us!!!!!

These are making me hungry!!!!

So I'm goofing on Facebook working my fingers to the bone today!!!!!!  I found 2 recipes that looked really really good!!  Thought I'd share them with you!!!!

This is Eggplant & Zucchini Casserole Recipe!!!!  And I MIGHT just have to try this tonight with our sliders & tater salad!!!!

Then there is the Squash Casserole Recipe that looked pretty good too!!!  And hey this one is from Paula Dean so how could you go wrong!!!!!

Brownie Cupcakes

Did I tell you about my brownie cupcakes I made Saturday!!!!!! OMG.....easy & beyond YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!

All you need is a box of brownie mix

some Andies candy baking chips

white frosting

peppermint flavoring

Mix up the brownies as directed......scoop a half of an icecream scoop of batter in bottom of cupcake liner, COVER the batter with baking chips, then place another scoop of brownie mix on top of the chips.  I baked about 28 mins.....let them cool & then frost with the frosting flavored with peppermint flavoring (as much or as little as you want), cover with a few more chips.

And eat atleast 2 of them.....you deserve it!!!!!!

Hazy

This is the view of our lovely sky that we have had over the past few weeks.  It has been hot muggy & sticky outside.  All hazy & foggy looking.

Maybe that's why I feel all hazy & foggy today.  Last night I got told something that I thought I would never hear.  And because of that now all these thoughts are going thru my head.  I'm just not sure of alot of things right now.  I have been involved in a reading/study over the past few weeks & have been working on being better at alot of things.  Praying for people, trying to be a wife, friend & Heavenly Daughter.  It's just hard t0 do any of those things when you keep getting knocked down. 

So today I'm just not sure that coming out of the hazy is something that I can do!!!!!!  And as you can tell Hoss would rather hang out in the hazy with me!!!!!

Back At Work

So today is my 2nd day back at work after my staycation.....and let me just say I wish I was still on my staycation!!!!!!  I did NOT want to come back to work.  But as much as I didn't want to come back I am also Thankful to my Lord & Savior for letting me have a job to come back to!!!!!!!!!!

I also started this morning getting up and taking Hoss for a jog VERY early in the morning!!!  We went out on a jog this morning around 5:30 AM!!!!!  That's after I had went out & got breakfast for my lovely hubster & Hoss @ Hardees at 5:00 AM!!!  So after our workout and while I was in the shower getting ready to go to work...Hoss & Daddy got to eat country fried steak biscuits from Hardees!!!  Needless to say they LOVED me very very much when I came out of the bathroom!!!  And who wouldn't!!!!!! LOL!!!!

The goal is to go for our little jog EVERY morning & EVERY night....we have to!!!  The lovely doctor that I went to see the other day informed me that I HAD to loose some weight (don't you just LOVING hearing someone tell you that!!!), so we are attempting to get in some good exercise every day & have knocked atleast 1 Dr Pepper out of our diet every day & switched to some lovely H2O!!!!  But I gotta tell you what I put in my H2O......

Some Crystal Light Strawberry Energy it is HEAVEN!!!!!  Make sure you go over to Crystal Light on Facebook and "like" them!!!!!  I even got some White Grape last night to try & the hubster got some Fruit Punch!!!!  It helped that the local grocery store had them BOGO!!!!! =) =)

Ok I'm headed back to work now......I've got a few trees on my desk that I have to move around!!!!! LOL!!!

New House

Hoss got a new house the other day!!!!!  He isn't to sure about it but as his Uncles say......the mansion is pretty cool!!!!  His fav part of the new mansion is the cushiony bed that's in it!!!!!

And on a side note from mommy......this staycation has wore me out!!!!  Canned goodies, bought goodies for the baby, doctor appointments, cleaned the yard, busted up stumps, took metal to the metal yard, took a warmer to a special friend of mine, got a new booking for next month, gave blood, 2 doctor appointments & I still have a day & 1/2 left!!!!!

Late Nite Walk

Just for the record.......I AM ON VACATION!!!!  But someone forgot to tell Hoss that!!!  It's 10:00 PM and he wants to go for a walk!!!!!  Seriously doesn't he understand that when you are on vacation....you get to be LAZY!!!!!

Can't you just hear him say......Really mom can't we go NOW!!!  I'M TIRED OF WAITING!!!!!

So off we go!!!!!!  And might I just say that there are all kinds of noises that aren't fun to hear when you are out walking @ 10:oo PM!!!!

And after a 20 minute romp thru the neighborhood....what dog wouldn't want to cool his feet in the creek!!!!!!

Ohhhhh and right before we left I asked my wonderfully sweet hubster if he would turn the front porch light on for me!!!! 

And of course he did!!!  Cuz he is just good like that!!!!!!!

New Toys!!!!!!!

One of our friends shared some tennis balls with Hoss this week.......and he thinks they are THE BEST TOY EVER!!!!!!

So between tennis balls & 2 days of doogie daycare.....Hoss is one wore out puppy during this staycation!!!!!!!

VACATION!!!!!

I should say staycation instead of vacation!!!!  LOL!!!!

We are into our 3 day of staycation.....and what have we done...................

went to TN & shopped in Pigeon Forge, checked out Cades Cove (didn't get to see any animals, but a pretty drive!!!) AND had a day full of doctor & vet appointments......someone wasn't very happy about the vet appointment....

And since it's August its the beginning of canning season SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....

Peach jam, pickled peppers, chopped peppers for the freezer, okra chopped for the freezer & this afternoon am gonna pickle some okra & get some tomatoes for soup starter!!!!!! 

LOVE ME SOME STAYCATION!!!!!

GOOFINES

Do you ever just have one of those goofy days???  That's today for me......so here is my goofines list for today!!!

* I HATE laundry!!!!  Please someone come finish the laundry for me!!!!

*I've gotta go here in a few & pick DH up from work!!!  Glad he is coming home from work but I don't think I've got the energy to get up out of this chair & drive to get him.

*Being lazy is way to fun!!!!

*$110 at the grocery store & I forgot milk!!!!

*Said DH will be disappointed tonight since there is just alittle milk but no energy to walk into the grocery store to get some!!

*Speaking of grocery stores.......bratty teenager was way up in my space this afternoon while I was checking out I HATE THAT!!!!!

*Tomorrow night we have a cookout to go to @ the Lake here in town.....think I might take Hoss...see how he does!!!!!

*3 days til my staycation starts!!!!  Super Excited!!!!

*I get to go to TN for one day of the staycation......shopping, goofing off, the Applebarn (YUMMY), much fun!!!

*The ham in the oven is smelling so good!!!  Can't wait til it's done!!!!!

*Thankful the sun is out instead of it raining.  Thought when I came out of church it was gonna rain today!!

*Although rain would be a wonderful thing cuz drought conditions are no fun!!!!

*And there is the phone to pick up DH...guess I won't make him walk.....might be a divorced woman if I did that!!!!!

Don't Worry

We are having Vacation Bible School this week =) and in our class last night we were talking about not worrying.  We read in Matthew 6 25-34.

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

And it dawned on me that that is so my problem lately!!!!  I believe in God, I trust Him for everything BUT in the back of my head is that darn little voice worrying!!!!!  So my balancing this week is going to be to not worry!!!!  To TRULY trust Him.  I'll do my part & I KNOW He'll be right there watching over me doing His!!!

Let's work this week on not worrying so much & turning things over to the Lord to handle in His time & way!!!
