I SOOOOO am a list maker.  Here is my list for this last week......note the things that didn't get done will be moved to this new week???  And people think I have nothing to do!!!!!!  LOL!!!!

I have found if I put the list for each day on my calender that goes EVERYWHERE with me I remember things better!!!  Wait does that mean I'm getting old??????  My bday is coming up soon.....hmmmmmm!!!

Warmer

How stinkin cute is this......a warmer/along with the rub ons that Baby Girl Mom can put on the warmer to decorate her self/and a bar of Berry Blush.

IF I were to be having a baby.....would be a very cool gift to receive at the baby shower!!!  NOTICE I SAID IF!!!!!

Please Explain

Why oh why is it that when at 2:00 IN THE MORNING I am the one that gets the poke from the lovely other half....."Honey Honey Hoss is up.....do you think he wants to go outside?"  Sure sweetie at 2:00 in the morning who doesn't want to go outside.  So up I get.....let Hoss outside to do whatever it is that he does BEFORE THE CHICKENS GET UP!!!  Let him back in....fall asleep on the couch (while I might add Hoss sleeps in the big fluffy nice chair).....only to hear the alarm go off at 3:00 AM!!!  Get the hubby up & moving so he can go off to work...then lay back down for a little while.  To come out of the bathroom from my shower to see this

Seriously how in the world can he be comfy cozy all bunched up like that?

He really does have a hard life doesn't he????

Hard work

Why is everyone so tired at my house???  Here is what the oh so good lookin hubby & Hoss did in 2 days!!!!

Did I tell you about the tree that fell a few weeks ago?????  Oh a PURE NIGHTMARE!!!!  Well maybe not a NIGHTMARE but it definately was NO FUN!!!!  So after one of our 500 snow storms we have had....the wind was blowing HORRIBLY bad one day!!!!!  I'm at work....hubby is home for lunch....it's ohhhhh about 23 degrees outside......and he calls to say that a popular had fallen and knocked the power line/cable & phone lines out of the house.  The dang 700 foot tree that was probably 100 years old (like all the other trees around our house) had come right up out of the ground root ball & all!!!!  Fallen on our side of the power line & just took our lines out.  Everyone else in the neighborhood had power/phone/cable/internet!!!!!  It took us only about 24 hours to be all back in working order...and could have been much much worse....I know people that had been days & weeks this winter with no power.  But this big pile of wood is from that 700 foot tree!!!! 

And now I wonder who is gonna stack it all?/?????  HMMMMMMM.....thinking maybe the wood fairy will come see us???  Probably not!!!!

It's been a rough life around here lately (ignore the mess on the floor please!!!!)!!  Wait til tomorrow & you see why the two of them are wore out!!!!

Our latest snow

I THINK I heard the other day that the record for snow fall at the airport was 48 inches.....we've had like 39.  There were times that we had more than the airport.  So I'm figuring we've had way more than the record here @ the house.

Potato Salad

Seriously my parents taught me to NEVER LIE!!!!  And I PINKY PROMISE you this is like the BEST warm potato salad EVER!!!!  You've gotta try it!!!

Warm Potato Salad

Ingredients:



•1/2 gallon Water

•1 pint Cider vinegar

•2 cups Brown sugar, packed

•1/3 cup Salt

•2 1/2 lbs. Red potatoes, unpeeled and cut in 1"e; cubes

•1/2 lb. Bacon, finely chopped

•1 1/2 cups Celery, sliced

•1 cup Red onion, small diced

•2 tbsp. Olive oil

Method:



In a 2-gallon saucepot, bring the water to a boil with the cider vinegar, brown sugar and salt.

Add the red potatoes and boil for 25 minutes or until just tender.

Meanwhile sauté the bacon over medium heat until just brown, reserving the drippings.

Strain the potatoes and toss with the bacon and bacon drippings, celery, red onion and olive oil.

Serve immediately.

Thanks to The Biltmore House for making it so I just HAD to have the receipe book that this was in!!!!!  It was SO very much worth my $!!!!

Yes it's a Chalkboard

I'm in LOVE!!!!  So I HAD this brown 2 door cabinet in the kitchen.  Kinda holds all my goodies.  You know the stuff that I just can't find enough space in all my other 50 cabinets for.  And I discovered the joy the other day of CHALKBOARD PAINT.....do you hear the angels singing!!!!!?????  I seriously am in LOVE.   I took the door off the cabinet....taped off the bottom so I would have a straight line.....and painted away!!!  Seriously this stuff IS WONDERFUL!!!  I'm thinking doing the other side in magnetic paint & then the chalkboard paint!!!  How Flippin Cool would that be!!!!!
