Here is what happens.....

LOL!!!  Almost looks like I got in some kinda fight & the person's teeth messed my knuckles up!!  Add that to the burn on my arm because of the woodstove & you'll find out that Mom isn't the most graceful, never has a booboo person on the face of the earth!!!!!

My Valentines....

These are my Valentines.  Both of them looking like they are up to no good!!! LOL!!!

My DH has been part of my life for almost 21 years!!!  Good golly that's a long time!!  And because he is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO AWESOME & knows me SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO well he knows that the best way to my heart on Valentines Day or any day of the year for that matter is to get me cheesecake.  And again this year he came thru..........

These cheesecakes are from an AWESOME place a couple of miles down the road from us.  There is Red Velvet, Chunky Monkey, Carmel Candy, Chocolate Chip and New York Style.  See who could not LOVE someone who would bring these yummies to work for you!!!!!!!

BUT.....WE AREN'T DONE!!!!!!!!!!!

On top of these yummy cheesecakes I got lunch from one of the local BBQ places...........

Yeah that's Cucumber Salad, Smoked Tater Salad & Beef Brisket.  And it was WAY good!!!!!!!

And then I got my new bag......

DH didn't actually get this for me.....well kinda he did.  I got it for myself from my friend Autumn......we'll say Hoss got it for me!!!  Just cuz he is a good child like that!!!!!!

This is my work scripture for the week.  Due to LOTS of craziness that is going on at my job I'm learning really fast to let things roll off my back.  Kinda like water does on a ducks back.  A good friend of mine reminded me a few months back that we both needed to be more like ducks.  And I'm working on that EVERYDAY!!!!!

Randomness

We need

So Hosser needs an outside jacket.........cuz he's like his mama & isn't a fan of the cold.  I'm thought this one would be perfect

But then I saw this very cool sweatshirt & I'm thinking dang he needs that too.......

And then I saw that the website had dog couches & I'm thinking yep maybe just maybe if I get him one of those bad boys he won't take up my whole couch & leave me no where to be lazy at...........

And then I decided that I need a 3rd job just to pay for it all & figured it best to stop window shopping for my dog & get back to work!!! LOL!!!!!!

Ham Broccoli Casserole

So this yummyfied meal WAS probably one of my best last week.

All I did was fry up a ham steak & cut it in cubes
Sautee 2 boxes of frozen broccoli & onions
Cook 1 package of egg noodles
2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
1 can of cheddar cheese

Mixed everything together bake @ 350 for about 20 mins then top with shredded cheddar cheese, bake another 10 mins or so & you are done!!!
It was that easy!!!  And all that was left was 1 helping for lunch the next day!!!!!!!!  I think next time I make it I'll make 2 up and freeze one!!!  Ohhhh thats a brillant idea!!!!!

Valentines Day

Valentines Day is next Monday......can you believe it????  And I've figured out what I want for Valentines Day this year.  After the night I've had it wasn't very hard to figure it out!!!!  Are you ready here is what I want................
*Dinner ready & on the table when I get home & for me to not have to decide what it's gonna be.
*The kitchen cleaned up for me.
*Hoss wore out for me so I don't have to walk him 3 times in between everything else I have to do.
*The laundry done.
*And last but not least.....to get to sit on my butt all night & not to have to do a thing!!!!!

Seriously I doubt I'll get any of this for Valentines Day but a girl can dream can't she!!!!!!!

Yucky.....

Ya know how your mom always said....don't go outside with a wet head....you'll catch a cold.  Seriously I have NO IDEA if that really can happen.....but ever since I had to have a funeral for my hair dryer about 2 weeks ago I have went outside with a wet head in some nasty cold weather.....and guess what I have a terrible cold.  Sniffles, cough, sneezes, aches, scratchy throat......I sound like a Nyquil commercial!!!!!

So since I'm very Yucky feeling today & have been for the past 3 days I'm asking Hoss to PLEASE let mommy & daddy get some sleep tonight.  2 hours of sleep then up for 30-45 mins is just not cutting it.  Ohhhhh and anyone who would like some excerise is more than welcome to come take him for a walk or run cuz I can't & that's why the little stinker isn't letting us sleep!!!!  But trust me you'd bring him back shortly!!! LOL!!

Ranchero Beans

Land sakes have mercy I can't believe that in my recipes that I've given I haven't listed Ranchero Beans!!!!!  Seriously they ROCK!!!  And are super super easy!!!  Go ahead & ask....how easy (I know you want to!!!! LOL), easy enough that my DH had them all ready in 15 mins when he got home last night so all I had to do was make the cornbread!!!!! =)

All you need (and this is all dependent on how much you want to make) is.....

2 cans of Baked Beans
2 cans of kidney beans drained
1 can of navy beans drained
1 can of great northern beans
1 pound of hamburger (cooked & drained)
chopped onion & green pepper to taste
1/2 cup of brown sugar (or more if you like it sweeter)

We usually cook to a very low boil for about 10 mins or so.  Sometimes I put it in the crockpot & let it cook on LOW for about 4 hours......that way is so good it'll make your tongue slap your brains out!!!!! =)

Fitting In

As I'm blog hoppin this afternoon I found a few different posts that asked the same question......Are we trying to please God or the world???   And of course that got my head to spinning.  Thinking about the happenings in my life over the last few days & questions that have been spinning in my head. 

Have I this week tried to please the world by really caring IF so & so at work hasn't spoken to me today?  Or if I sit in my office & NO ONE can talk to me all day?  Or how certain people have mentioned hateful things about me & my life when I'm within hearing distance? 

I would LOVE to tell you nope,  haven't thought twice about any of it......but that would be telling a HUGE white lie!!! 

But I can tell you one thing that I have made sure & done through out this week and that's spend some time on my knees praying to my God asking him to send me in the direction I need to be in & to give me strength to deal with the CRAZY people in my life!!!  And I'm very thankful that God has a sense of humor cuz that's exactly what I call them CRAZY people LOL!!!!!

If I'm trying to please God then I shouldn't be concerned about what those CRAZY people think of me!!!  And it's Satan that keeps putting those CRAZY thoughts in my head!!!  And you know it's cuz I have been spending time in prayer & reading my Bible EVERY DAY that Satan is working his hardest to get me back.......but he can't have me!!!!!  And to him I officially say Blah......stay away!!!!  I HAVE chosen to   stand tall, to walk with my Lord & Savior and not be part of this craziness of fitting in & worrying about what others think!!!!  That's what the "world" calls fitting in not what my Lord calls fitting in. 

I like how the NIV phrases John 15:19

"If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you."

So keep on hating me world....that's fine with me cuz I'm fitting in with the Lord.  The One who loves me for all my CRAZiness and corky ways, The One who has made me into the person that I am today & forgives me everyday for all my shortcomings & mess ups.  The One who has given me this wonderful life that I have & to Him I give ALL of the glory!!!!

Goodie Bags

I made up some great little goodie bags to take to local groups of ladies the other day!!!!  This group of bags had Scentsy goodies in it, Thirty-One goodies in it & 2 cards from a wonderful lady here in town that does AWESOME massages and a VERY VERY talented author.

My hope with these goodie bags is to give alittle smile to local women in the area while also helping out business women at the same time.

I hope they go over well.  I go this weekend & pick up some more goodies for different bags I need to make & need to call on 2 more church groups!!!

Getting Older??

Call it getting older.  Call it getting wiser.  Call it whatever you would like.  I'm calling it growing closer to my Lord, but I am to a point in my life where I need just a few things.

I need my Friend & Lord, I need my WONDERFUL DH, I need quietness, and I need the opportunity everyday to thank my Lord for the wonderful things He has given me that I don't deserve!!!
